When a tenant pays rent online, a small processing fee applies. By default the tenant pays it and you receive the full rent, or you can choose to absorb it for your tenants from your payments settings.

| Bank transfer (ACH) | The bank-transfer processing cost (0.8%, capped at $5.00) plus a flat $2.00 RentMerchant fee. The $2.00 fee is waived on the Pro plan. |
| Debit or credit card | Card processing rate of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, plus a flat $2.00 RentMerchant fee. On $1,200 rent the tenant pays $38.21 in total. The $2.00 fee is waived on the Pro plan. |
