This policy describes, in general terms, what information RentMerchant collects when you use the service and how that information is used. It is written as plain boilerplate and should be reviewed and tailored by counsel before you rely on it.
We collect the information you give us when you create an account, add a property, invite a tenant, or contact support. This can include your name, email, and details about the rentals you manage. Tenants provide payment details to complete a payment.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Raw card and bank numbers are handled by the payment processor and are not stored by RentMerchant. The processor's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment data it handles.
We use the information to run the service: to show invoices, send reminders, process payments, provide support, keep accounts secure, and improve how the product works. We do not sell your personal information.
Accounts can use two-factor login, and payments run through an established processor. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
You can update your account information from your settings and contact us to ask about the information associated with your account. Specific rights depend on where you live and should be reflected here by counsel.
