This policy describes, in general terms, how refunds are handled. It is plain boilerplate and should be reviewed and adjusted by counsel before you rely on it. It covers two different things: the Pro subscription that a landlord pays us, and rent payments that a tenant makes to a landlord.
The Pro plan is billed monthly. You can cancel Pro at any time and keep using the Free plan for up to three properties. The exact terms for prorating or refunding a current billing period should be set by counsel and stated here clearly before launch.
Rent is paid by a tenant to a landlord through the platform. A request to refund or reverse a rent payment is between the tenant and the landlord. Where a refund is appropriate, it is issued back to the original payment method through the payment processor, and processing times depend on the processor and the tenant's bank.
Payment processing fees are paid by the tenant at checkout. How fees are treated when a payment is refunded should be confirmed with the payment processor and stated here by counsel.
